Lately a lot of buzz and blabbering has been going on about “the new ultimate business model – FREE!“. With Chris Anderson playing the role as Free-Jesus and Google being the Free-God. The free-movement has almost been making me angry as nothing is really free, but I have not been able to put my finger on a good argument to “take it apart”.

Then today I realized something that will forever put Free in the corner and always be there as the foundation for great companies like Apple, Panasonic, Nike and IKEA. It’s not really an argument, more of an insight.

I’m talking about the 10 000 years old business model called:
“Great Value“.

The feeling of buying something for your hard earned cash and go, “wow – I’m getting great value for my $” will beat the free lunch 24-7-365. At least in my world.
‘nuf said.
